Kale Chips – Clean Eating

Posted on February 15, 2012

So…. I have tried to make Kale Chips and this is how they turned out:

They are totally deliciously addicting and you definitely will make them over and over again.

(Now the possibilities here are endless but the following is what I used this time)

Sea salt

Olive Oil

1 bunch of Kale

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Remove tough stem from kale and tear into pieces. Wash thoroughly. Dry.
  3. In one layer place kale on a baking sheet.
  4. Spray with olive oil spray and sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Cook for 10 – 15 minutes. Check at 8 minutes and carefully stir kale pieces around.
  6. Check for doneness (edges browning). Taste one – if it’s crispy, then its done!

You can serve these as an appetizer or dinner starter with fresh salsa, hummus, guacamole, etc. Make sure you use a spoon to put the dip on the kale chips as they are quite fragile.

My two year old son devoured these as well! A perfectly healthy snack for everyone in the family.

I will try out some other spiced kale combinations and post updates on cooking ideas.
